South Norfolk Local Party

The Local Party

The South Norfolk Local Party of the Liberal Democrats is responsible for all Liberal Democrat activity in the parliamentary constituency of South Norfolk. Under an agreement with the Norwich South Local Party, it is also responsible for local government activity in New Costessey which lies in the Norwich South constituency.

The Local Party is managed by officers elected by the Annual General meeting of members and an Executive Committee largely comprised of the officers and representatives appointed by the local branches of the Party.

Sub-committees
The Executive Committee appoints Sub-committees to handle specific areas of activity. These cover Management, Campaigns and Finance.

Branches

Responsibility for much of the Local Party's work, particularly local campaigning and local elections, is devolved to its branches each of which covers one or two of county council divisions.
