council and public affairs

South Norfolk Council:
Currently (2005–06) Vice Chair of South Norfolk Council. Member of Licensing and Appeals Committees. Former Leader of Liberal Democrat Group and of Council. First elected to SNC in May 1995. Formerly Chairman of Cabinet, Policy Committee and Economic and Community Development Committee.

Previous:
Formerly member of Henley-on-Thames Borough Council 1969–74, South Oxfordshire District Council 1973–76, and Norfolk County Council 1981–91.
Contested South Norfolk constituency at 1983 and 1987 general elections.
personal

Has lived in South Norfolk since 1979. Married with two grown-up sons. Recently retired from a career in the IT industry. Geography graduate. Outside politics main interests are travel, sport and industrial archaeology.
