Born
in The Netherlands. MSc in Agricultural Sciences from Wageningen
Agricultural University, followed by a career in plant breeding
and biotechnology, and consulting in Europe, Africa and Asia.
Interested in gardening, natural history and sports. Main hobby
is golf, competing at international level. Member of the Executive
of the Norfolk Ladies’ County Golf Association and County
Junior organiser for girls' golf.
Has lived in Norfolk since 1993, and is married to Donald Holdgate.
